The ZMNH was founded in 1988. As part of the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, it represents an internationally recognized research institute.

Research

The focus of the institute is basic research in many disciplines of neurobiology combining molecular genetics with anatomical, biochemical and physiological approaches.
